Cloud Chirper

FIELD NOTES

Weather, one moment at a time.

High, pale layers

A thin sheet arrived from the west before noon. The sun kept its outline but lost its sharp edge; lower fragments moved faster beneath it.

After the rain

The last shower left a clean horizon and low silver clouds. Their darker bases softened as the evening light moved north.

A slow clearing

Broken cumulus became smaller and farther apart. The wind eased first at ground level, while the upper layer continued east.
